I do alot of lurking here, ( and learn shitloads from you guys!) and thought somebody was looking for an injection setup? A buddy just pulled a sweet Hilborn stack setup off his deep vee pleasure boat and asked if I knew anybody interested. He's suppose to send a pic that I'll post, but it is for a tall block chev, the intake is chromed, comes with stacks, linkages, ( if I remember he had filters too) and both alcohol and gas barrel valves , pills etc. No pump. Everything he does is absolutely top shelf and I know it is way nice stuff. He just went with a blower carb setup and it's setting on the bench. He said make him an offer. I'll get a pic up as soon as I get one.

I'll have to find out for sure, but he said he put it on E-bay a while back with a $1000 reserve and nobody bid, ( may have had the pump them, said he sold it separately on e-bay) But he just wanted to get rid of it. I hate to guess, but I'd say he consider the best offer over $600-700 ?? i'll get more info. Anybody interested I'll just give ya his number and stay out of the middle. But I do know it is real nice stuff. He would open his engine hatch and people would gasp!

That seems pretty cheap, wonder what kind of shape it is in. Throttle shafts, plates etc.

he just stopped in my shop and said he was gunna take some pics and e-mail em to me, so if I get em I'll post em tonight. He is one of those guys that cant leave anything alone, and had a blown motor in it for awhile, then built ( had built) the injected motor and ran it on alcohol,......which he got tired of availablity ( and fuel consumption) when he took it on vacation etc. so then he switched to gas and discovered the just how much smaller the tuneup window is, and remember, this is a 27 foot deep vee pleasure boat. So now he is back to a roots and carbs and the injectors are sitting on the bench. I think he said he had more in chroming than he would take for the setup! I'll ask about wear, age, etc and get back to you all.

I'm guessing cuz it was in an enclosed engine compartment and maybe made soem throttle hookup issues easier? Just a though. A little chrome cover would clean it up if it is moved back maybe?

Well could be, also with the barrel valve in the center it is a PINTA to adjust!. That is an early unit and the main thing on this set though, is that the sides aren't tied together and you have to be real careful torquing it down or else the shafts will bind, the newer ones are tied together and don't have that problem!
