Can somebody give me a lesson rudders?

I've heard of wedge, SK, and trailing. Are there more?
What are the differences between each type?
What is each type good for?
What type do the GN and fast V-bottom guys run?
Who is building new steel rudders other than Barber welding? I know Racey builds some.

This is a pic of the bronze rudder (bent) on my 19' Howard (Schiada) that needs to be replaced. Don't mind the huge crack in the weld on the trailer...

Hey Russ, throw that POS rudder in the trash and call J.J. 972 438 2277 and have a trailing rudder made!..

It's bent, so it will end up in the can Art. Sounds like a trailing rudder is the hot ticket. What makes them different, shape I presume?

J.J. isn't making rudders at present. Anybody else have any suggestions?

Barber Welding but they are pricey, call Bob at Glenwood and see if he'll make ya one, if he will tell him you don't want the keyway cut in the shaft and no damn chrome, once you have it in and know where the quadrant goes then you machine a slot for the key, then get it zinc plated!..
