I just happend to find this site today. It's awsome. Im in the process of buying a boat off my brother. It's a Nordic flat bottom with a 396 bored to a 402 Chevy engine. It seems to me Nordic wasn't a very popular boat.I dont see any on this site. He got it 1989 and took it out to laughlin every chance he got. after 92 it's just been siting and wasting away. Its getting worse ever year. All the aluminum exshaust parts a cracking. I hope i can fix those. freeze plugs are popping out. It sucks to see it waste away. It needs help Bad. If anybody could give me any info of any shops or any web sites were they restore old v-drives that would be great. Thanks

HI! Having a BB Chevy, you will be able to find a TON of good used parts. Please 'start from the begining', and go over EVERY NUT AND BOLT on your boat. You need to know "how and why it works", then you will be very confident when you are on the water. Make it all as SIMPLE as possable, so that you have less parts to deal with. Questions? Ask away!
