Words can not express the loss you must be feeling. Please know that you and your family are in my prayers. Everyday I go to work, I think about the sacrifice that so many have made and so many more will make in our lifetime to ensure that the freedom we enjoy not only remains for us but is shared with others around the world. I have deployed twice to Iraq and know what it is like to loose friends in a war that many don't understand. I can't explain this war, nor will I try. At a time like this, all I can tell you is that I'm sure your son was not lost in vain. He was a Marine and every Marine I ever worked with was not only the epitomy of disciplin, they were the definition of pride and honor. The orders your son recieved to come home were from the highest commander. While we mourn his lost in this world, our heavenly father is welcoming Ivan to his. I hope someday I'll be blessed enough to thank your son in person for all that he gave for us. God speed Ivan.

I am working with Brad over at Socaljetboats.com for some vinyl stickers honoring Ivan. I have inquired to his parents for some more info so we can fly these "In Memory of PFC Ivan Irl Wilson, USMC, xxxx-2008" stickers on our boats. I will also hand out as many as possible at Long Beach to the racers. I'm sure Larry Ambrose will mention this young Marines passing over the PA during the races. Too many young men and women are dying in this war on terror, lets just hope their efforts to this point are not in vain........RIP Ivan.............Ray

Ray, that sounds like a great idea. I think that would be an excellent idea to go along with out September outing to remember and honor those who have sacrificed all to ensure the freedoms we enjoy.

Guys I'll do what I can. Brad is extremely busy right now and said he will do what he can for the LB race. I still need Ivan's birth year, and home town. Then Brad can take over and do his thing. After the race, Brad is also getting ready for LB, I will be glad to send out as many as required. When I have them in my hands I will post up an address where you can send a SASE, and I will be glad to send them out. I'm sure Brad will do his part in this area as well......RIP PFC IVAN WILSON......Ray
PS Chris, could you PM me a little info please.........
