Well it's not a Beezer, that is the the narrow Bisemeyer splashed by Ray Brown, it has to be a Bisemeyer, I also have a genuine Bisemeyer oddball, a ditch pump and it has the emblems to prove it!... I can't believe I admitted to this!..LOL..:D

Nope, it says SJ4 on the trailer and it has an APBA plaque on the dash from 1980 at Lake Pleasant!. The boat was built by Gary Steele in 79, Ray Brown had the narrow Bisemeyer!...

That actually is a nice looking hull i imagine cleaned up with a shine it could sit next to the home equity boats and you wouldn't have to worry about the repo man. Surprised there isn't more of these whomever did it got the proportions right

Is the wood rotten or just the covers are torn up? It does look like a nice boat (even with a pump on it). Have you already put it up for sale or are you waiting till it is complete?

Wood don't look bad, no rips but it is brittle wouldn't take much for it to rip!. Not up for sale yet(well it could be?)I want to make sure the pump is ok first, I just threw a motor in it yesterday, gotta mount the fuel cell, plumb it up and wire it then try it, then go from there!..

SnoC653
07-20-2008, 05:06 PM
It is a shame that you are so far away. With the interior being complete and the wood being good, I'd love to have it to recover for a river boat I picked up. I pulled the interior out of it to clean it right and the wood is all rotted as is the foam. Unfortunately if that interior is like mine, it would take some really big boxes to ship it. That is, if you would even sell it. What motor did you drop into the boat? One of your injected alcohol toy motors or just a good ol reliable single carb BBC?

RiverRacer
07-20-2008, 05:24 PM
Yeah, they are about 4 1/2' long 2' wide, don't know if UPS would take them???.. Nahhh, no toy motor, I built a motor for a pickup truck I had 15 years ago and ended up selling the truck and the motor never got fired, figure I may as well do something with it so I threw it in there, it's ugly too,LOL, I'll take a pic of it later!...

SnoC653
07-21-2008, 12:04 AM
Fed Ex is over $1,000 to ship something like that. using 54" X 40" X 40" for the rears and like 40" X 40" X 40" for the fronts. And weighing 125 lbs total. Unfortunatly for that I'd be better off rebuilding my seats with new wood and foam. But, the partial view of them in the picture sure did look nice. I like the side facing rear seats. Less chance for someone with long hair to let her hair get into the motor. Any other pics of the interior? Maybe I should just redesign the seats in mine.

RiverRacer
07-21-2008, 03:36 AM
No way it would be that much, you can ship a whole boat for that,LOL. It would be 2 boxes one for each side roughly 56"x24"x24" at around 50lbs each and it's around $280 for both by UPS!...
