Here's a pic supposed to be a '76. The picture doesn't show much but he's going to send more.

I've lived here my whole life, been in v-drives since 1966, and it's the first one I have ever seen.

I've been around vdrive stuff myself since the early 60's and I don't remember any Cherokee boats either. The reason I thought Oregon was the guy lives there, but when I saw the pics he sent, the trailers got a California plate on it. I've attached a few more pics he sent, no transom shot though. If it's decent I might trade the ditch pump for it, says he wants a jet...

Doesn't look like a splash off anything I've seen. But, you guys have named off dozens of flats I never heard of so that's not a big surprise.

Hey Jon, hurry up with that Sanger so we can swap. My cruiser is fun, but I miss the blast of a flat.

Speaking of the cruiser, I've got this thing tuned to where the engines running about as good as it's gonna. With the plate all up I'm only getting 4800 rpm with it's slightly warmed 454. That sound right?

The shaft angle and prop location are close because it carries the nose fine. Just runs out of steam at 4800. I know the weight and vee bottom cause a bunch of drag but I was expecting more out of it.

When I talked to him he said there HAD been some issues with one of the stringers and it had been replaced. If there aren't any more stringer issues or delamination your right it's a no brainer...

Someone posted a list of boat builders one time and, I always thought I was pretty knowledgable on who built what, I couldn't believe how many I hadn't heard of..

As far as the Sanger goes why wait I'll swap right now...;) This weekend good for you?

Ya drive a hard bargain Jon:rolleyes: I would rather let you practice your craft on the boat and finish it up real pretty. Wouldn't want to deprive you of all the fun your going to have:D.

What about Norm Fidalgo's boats, Cheyenne? (sp?) He did the old "Mr Ed", "Tarva" cruisers.

George, I thought about Cheyenne especially when at first the guy couldn't remember what it was and then came up with Cherokee. I'd never heard of them, which doesn't mean anything, but it seems nobody else has either. I remember the name but not what they look like.
