Would like to introduce myself and my boat...

I purchased this boat totally restored from Lin Franklin, Ventura CA. His meticulous attention to detail is shown here. I feel very fortunate to have such a close friend that offered me first dibbs at this boat.

With this being my first boat to own I truly enjoy the attention and cuddos this boat gets...as I "cruise" by the people on shore...

Poncho,
I've read your "thread" on S & F about your Stevens (nice boat). Learned how to post pictures via that website. It really is easy, frustrating at first, but now is a piece of cake. Employed the same techniques. Tried logging on to Spike's- Stevens website, its still "coming soon".

I think i saved that somewhere just never got back to apply the tecniques yet.
Mr Miller is a member here so i`m sure he will be glad to see the boat.

The owner of the Stevens site is a member here and mentioned some details before that site goes up.

I heard a story from a reliable source on what transpired during the takeover, not good business practice in my opinion. I can see why some people have "issues" though. But what's done is done. At least "we" have a forum to talk and get to know each other, without paying a fee. I'm just happy I've got a boat to get on the water and away from the daily pressures...

Shame how all that played out in the public eye. This is the real info and gathering spot for us prop turners.

WOW...what a beautiful boat gotprop.

I'm new to this also and loving every minute of it. The guys on this forum are the absolute best people to be around. The history and info they are all willing to share is incredably helpful.

Welcome to the site and have a ball with that boat of yours!

Thanks bad_behavior. Did we meet formally or just kind of passin' by? The Lake Kerr event was a lot of fun, just wished I could have got down there a little sooner and wished that storm hadn't have scared everybody to the boat ramp. Better safe than sorry with the Flatties.

That is a beautiful piece of art you have there and welcome to the site. You will find the best V-drivers on the planet gathered here. Hell, they put up with me so they have to be great people.

My advice to you is pay the $15 to become an insider because it helps support this forum. AzDon and Nick have been extremely generous by providing this site to all of us. I was here pre-crash when they were hosted by a service and when the provider crashed the site and would be of no assistance in even recovering content they bought a server and put the site back up better than ever.

I am V-drive challenged (without a flat) at the moment but would pay $50 a year to keep this site going.

Again, Welcome to the greatest boat site on the planet.

Kurt

This is Zac. I was the one that was at the boat ramp when the storms came just taking it all in. My father is 'BadBehavior' on here and our Usernames are the same on Scream&Fly. My sig should have a link to the boat I'm currently building. I can only hope it comes out as well as your did.

John, your work is amazing. That boat looks very similar for some reason. Funny how they look alike. You and your brother have a unique talent and I for one am grateful you guys have this much passion for these boats. Thanks again for what you do, and am looking forward to seeing more of your work...

I'm keeping a site up with our progress (http://vdriveboat.com/). I've been at a stale mate with all these afternoon showers.

I'll try to post the pics I have there here sometime soon.
