Sounds like a cool boat. Ask away with any questions you might have. There is a wealth of knowledge here on this site.

Welcome to the board. I am sure you will find a bunch of Rayson fans here, me included. I have owned two of 'em...

i'm grant of hot boat or performance boat talked to ya before i'm in angier 30 min of raleigh i mess with alot of jets, about a month ago i had a customer call me and asked if i wanted a speed boat i said what is it, he said i dont know i havent touched in 20 plus years, so he said come get and u can have it, so not knowing nothing about v drives and free i hooked to it and brought it home and the wife has fell in love with it even though it needs a full restore, i mean full restore stringers and all but everything is there except for windsheild, other than the interior that is rotted and gone but that's no biggy, the trailer tags went out in 79 so it prob been around 30 years since it been touched, the guy that gave it to me was around 65 70 yrs old so u now, nothing is unbolted except for the windsheild, motor is either a 265,283 327 not sure yet havent really looked at is that hard yet, i will try to get some pics up when i get the camera fixed,
thanks

Well, dang....Hey Grant! Howz the auto parts biz?
Now I've got an excuse to come back down to my old stomping grounds (used to live in Cary/Apex area before it became a Containment Area for Relocated Yankees). I'd love to see that relic you've got now. It sure will take a ton of work, fer sure. Love them Raysons.
You gonna try coming to Lake James this fall? Your ride's done- you got no excuse!
