Hi I am having trouble finding out way my cam driven water pump is not working it is a Mike Kuhl pump. When I went to replace the jabsco impelller they could not match up the keyway it is 1/8th of an inch thick so I had them match up the impeller and had the keyway made bigger on the shaft. but it is still not pumping. I have also blown out all my lines and they are clear has anyone had this problem before. Also it have a fuel pump that runs off the back of the water pump to provide fuel for the mechanical fuel injection. I am trying to get Mike kuhls number to ask him about this special impeller but I can find it any where. Does anybody Know his number or e-mail address.

thanx Grant

Hello Grant. I recently bought a used Kuhl water pump/injection pump drive like the one you are describing. The first thing I did was take it apart and install a new impeller. Bob at Glenwood Marine in Gardena is very knowledgeable about pumps and impellers and sold me a Jabsco impeller # 1060 which fit perfectly. I haven't had a chance to run the boat yet but I can't forsee having any problems with the rebuilt pump. And for your and others' info Mike Kuhl is no longer in business. The young fellow that bought out Mike Kuhl went broke about a year or two ago. The phone number for Glenwood Marine is 323-757-3141. Good luck.
