Thought i'd start a new thread on the Risky Buisiness boat. I did see him race last year at Dexter Lake and Ten Mile Lake. Great racing here in the N.W. Sorry for the pic quality, wish i had a nicer camera but needed to fill my truck up.:D

Good idea on the thread felt bad about the jack on the other one, thats funny had to fill the truck:D The guy in the pic isnt Duane but no surprise that was a long time ago. Boat still looks great! A good friend of mine and i met Duane when he sold the original Risky Business which was a light blue 74 Hondo with orange and yellow graphics to my buddy and bought the Cole. I remember the next time i saw him was at Moses Lake and asked him how he liked the Cole and he said it was fast and smooth but he wasn`t prepared for the shut down his Hondo would slow real quick but the Cole would keep on hauling said he crapped himself and almost dumped it,funny story.I wore Risky Business t`s and tanks for years finally wore em out Duane sold alot of shirts and was a real hit with fans. Thanks for taking the time nice to see an old favorite still tearing it up

It's great to see racing teams that have been around for years, big time dedication.
I have a great amount of respect for what they do. It's a very busy sport not to mention hard work, lot's of money, time, frustrations and so on.......
I'll be at Dexter Lake this weekend here in Oregon to watch the CDBA drag boats, always a hit with me.:)

Poncho, Did not see Risky Business at the drags this weekend , i'll still keep my eye out for a shirt for you.
Some good racing though, a few engine fires on Pro Mods (kinda scary!) but drivers are ok. A few new drivers this weekend that did great, congrats.

Purdy goat, and if i must say, my dad picked up a brand new '65 GTO the day i was born. They sent it over from the main land to Hawaii and he actually missed my birth because he was at the dealer shortly after it arrived. My mom was ummm very angry at him. True story.:)

That's cool stuff Poncho.
My dad's was a tri-power, 4 spd, black on black. He would of got a '64 but saw the brochure on the new '65 and liked the stacked light's. One night at the drags not long after he got the car he told my mom he was going to get another beer, after a while had gone by she noticed a black GTO staging at the starting line, I think dad got a spankin' that night from mom:eek:. She did'nt like the fact that he was racing a brand new car and they were only there to watch the races and not be in them.:)

Yeah he was quite wild in his early year's as i was also. Racing a new car with a factory 6 month warranty, what was my mom worried about??? Correct me if i'm wrong on the GM warranty back in the mid 60's, but i think it's true.:)

You would be correct. The Chappelles and Duane, were very good people. Had many great times with them back in those days.:D We didn't run in the same class as them although we also ran a Cole. Ours was a T/A Hydro by the name "Airtime".
