Art, any idea on the cam specs, torque and h.p. rpm curve, what intake, single/dual carb, what would be the recommended single card size for the expected h.p capability? thanks, sic syndicate.

I think it says "estimated 600hp", I didn't build it so I don't know anything about it, when I saw it I do believe it had single carb intake on it!.. Since it has oval port heads the rpm range is not going to be high!..

Art, i figured if it was professionally built some statistics like a cam card might be available and the builders experience input as to the torque curve might be available. Since the eliminator seems to be sold i wont be using that motor to run the syndicate so i either have to build one of my motors here or for probably even $ or less i could buy that motor and be good to go. However, i still would like to know what i'm buying. I don't know all the pros and cons of the mark v motor and i dont have any time to do research on my own at this time so i thought i could ask a couple basic questions to see if any info is available, but i guess not. Thanks, warren. btw- thanks for putting up with pat long enough to forward his information, he's planning on picking up the eliminator tuesday at big river. I'll buy ya dinner for your troubles the next time we meet up. thanks, s.s.

Warren, unless I'm dreaming I think you mentioned running Nostalgia with the Syndicate???, if so that motor has about 200hp more than what you need to run 80mph, and I wouldn't run that in circles, make a good lake boat motor doing short burts though!.. That cheap POS I ran in the Daytona was well under 500hp and ran 97(on GPS) at 6600, could cruise all day at that rpm and speed!.. Save a bunch and put a good stocker(with a cam) together and you'll be there, or throw my POS in there!..LOL..:D Glad to hear you sold the Iliminator, now you can get to the Syndicate, and we do need pics!..:D

Bob, I assume you're talking about the POS not the good one right?. It's just GM junk except for the rods(Eagle), a 468 with stock 990 heads, wrong pistons so compression is low, never checked but has to be no more than 11 to 1, cam is just a flat tappet that needs 12 to 1 min to work so that's another draw back there!. It was something I threw together at the last minute for Needles and it became permanent, I didn't expect it to last but 5 miles, but it's been 4 years and it still runs, but at 6600 it should run forever!..
