My only problem with this vintage stuff, '86 and older is that is too damn new to be vintage. Vintage has to be older than I am, so pre '70. After all now that I am almost 40 its not so old. I am sure no matter what age you are we all feel the same. Vintage stuff is awsome. I have found lots of vintage hydro stuff but not much flat bottom stuff. Anyone have any places I can check out??

You wouldnt believe how many people have flats here. We ran into an old friend this past winter. He has a shop with four flats, an old hydro and now a sanger mini-day v-drive. Found out from him about many locals with flats collecting dust in garages and carports. We have been working on getting people to run them again here. Just met up with four of them the other weekend for a cruise across the lake. It was great.

This sounds likes a fun deal. We have a place in Lower Lake grew up watching me grandfather pull speedskies behind his flat. Maybe we can bring the boat out and have some fun!

This is where I found my flat.
I found it on the good Ol' EPLAY... Wife & I drove all the way up there in the T-Bird...
Was funny... we got there on a off-season... nobody at the lodge or anywhere... There is a realestate office right next to the lodge that the door was open though they had a sign saying, closed. Back in the rear was a gal sitting... turned out it was the mother of the guy I had purchased the boat from..! We would have never found the cabin had we not met her..! The gas station was closed so we took the tires off the trailer and took them down into town. There is a lot more to this story, but I will stop... :)
It is a 70' Auquacraft... great boat... lots of work... and fun..!
I would love to bring this boat up there... my wife reminds me of the drive...
