Frame is lowered all the way, will have bags as you can see when deflated should be able to set the panel body on the ground Got real lucky with that find the wheel track is within 1/4" as you can probably see in the bracing pictures I have to add somemore bracing for the next cut probably wont do much till winter again have to spend time on the boat now but should make a great tow rig someday Rob

Wow that should be cool, I like the "dare to be different" theme instead of the same ole stuff, looking forward to the progress!... BTW, no need to start a different thread, just keep this one going!..;)

This is really cool..!
I built a 63' Impala years ago for the street scene...
Shortened the body two feet, built a tube frame, 502 with a Lenco, Dana-60 with 5:13's... Was a Squirrel but fun....
Anybody ever build the Racing Bar Stools anymore..?

Exactly...!
Darn... I did not know anyone actualy started to market these...!
I built mine using a old "Husky" bike engine... Damb near killed my friend who tried it.. :)
We used to race these darn things there at Saddleback Race Park in Orange, CA... Until too many folks were getting clobbered by them...
They were fun though... especialy after a couple beers... : )

Truck looks a little like my next years boat hauler.... It's a winter project. 62' Ford Unibody short wide p/u. My dad gave it to me a few years ago. Remember him and I running to the dump in it when I was like 8 years old.... Cool sentimental ride.
Going to lower her about 3-4 inches, 351 with some extra's, 3.55 9". Run her for a while, then deal with paint....

Dammit! that was one of the first cars I shouldn't have sold.

61 223 three on the tree...stupid thing only weighed 2300 lbs

WHERE'S THE KICK MYSELF EMOTICON?

It was a fun truck, traded it for a '69 ranchero with a 429...dumb move.
