I don't have anything to do with this boat, just figured if somebody needs a good project this seems pretty good.

I'll bet it's a Marlin; Jerry Skagen and Don "the Animal" Whatmore were once partners.

I think somebody was looking for info on Marlins recently?
Skagens were made in Auburn, Washington and you are right, they were first made as Marlins from '65 to '69.
You can check out their info at:

I know this sounds petty but when Jerry built those boats he had a shop in Seattle near Boeing field and is now located in Auburn the boat is a Skagen,if you ever see a Dragoncraft they are quite similar with very little freeboard and they are a light quick flatbottom, that boat is a good deal for someone with running gear and whatnot

Well, I got to go with the Marlin but it looks like a cool project for the price regardless what it is!.. Definitely not a Dragoncraft though don't even come close, those were one of a kind!...

Can anyone get a good phone number for this guy? I think we have it sold IF we can contact the seller. Anyone know the guy? Another Nostalgia Racer headed for the H2O once more! I PMed Mr. Stickman already.
Marlin is my vote as indicated by another Marlin owner who recently talked to Don (animal) Whatmore who has built BIG boats after these great looking low profile ones! You know, I had the priviledge of racing against one this year and I believe I only beat it once.!! Oh ya, a small block!
Some were K-boats! And fast!

What is wrong with the number posted in the add. If all else fails email him at the address in the top left corner of the add. Here is the email if you need it.

Great, it looked like a good deal, glad someone wanted it. Seems like it worked out for both parties.
