Alright Eastern, and South Eastern flatbottom racers, anyone planning on running Morgan City, (Eastern Divisionals), over memorial day weekend??.....Three days of racing......I'm trying to make up enough boats for a PS class and, I aint having a lot of luck.......SSers, PSers, come on out and run a real fun venue. Great little town and the people are off the hook when it comes to hospitality, Cajun style hospitality....Free pit party Sunday night, and I can tell you from experience, those people know how to put on a party...........MC rooms are only $69 a night, $400. tow money, and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prize money. So far I have two west coast teams willing to make the trip, need 2 more flats, (minimum), and 3 or 4 would be better. It is 1600 miles from Needles area, a lot closer for the Southern Gentlemen.......Anyone???......Ray
PS: It is a crane in race, so you'll need to be able to lift your boat in and out. Not really a big deal and they'll help as much as they can.........Very reasonable registration fees, AND TOW MONEY!!!............
PSS, Any western teams interested???.......Leaving BHC Wednesday morning.....

Ray: We are not quite ready to go yet, just about ready to test. W are having the same problem up here. Do you know if there are any guys coming up here to Valleyfield to run at the Worlds. They have ss, ps, and k listed. You should be able to view the sanction if you want to.

Brian, Valleyfield is 4 days and 2400 miles from Burley. It seems like a tough road to take with gas prices what they are today, and rising almost hourly. Valleyfield has not been totally ruled out, but it's close to that.......Because of time allowances, Morgan City seemed like a good race to run. Not to mention the great venue. I haven't been there since the new docks were put in, but back in 04 it was a fun race, even with 90 degree temps and 95% humidity at 7 am!!!!!! I still need boats for Morgan city, any help guys??...........Ray

Well, nothing but bad news coming out of Morgan City. NO flatbottoms, except us, have even inquired about racing. How in TF did Morgan city get the Eastern Divisionals? These national events are suppose to be staged at venues that will attract racers in all classes. The APBA has strict guidelines to meet before these events are awarded. Well so much for their guidelines........I am quickly loosing faith in the APBA.........NO flatbottoms, none, zero.......Damn....Well, I'm still headed to BHC to prep the boat just in case we get word there will be a class, very doubtful at this point, but we gotta cover all the bases......Hell, we might be the first team ready for Burley, instead of our usual last team ready.....Oh, wait, as long as the CJ72 boat is racing, we'll never be the last team ready for a race again!!..........And, Oroville has SS, and Ks on the sanction, but no Pro Stocks......Ever feel like a red headed step child?........Ray

Wow that sucks big time, but what's the deal it's the Divisionals don't any of the Eastern boys want the points????.. Probably just cost too damn much to go racing anymore with the bull$hit gas prices!...:mad::mad:
