I could use your alternator if you are willing to drop that to $65.00....?
Kinda on a shoestring budget...I don't think my Eba "special" is working... :(
Noticed you are located in So. Cal....?

ok cool thanks, i have never sold anything big like a boat on ebay but if it doesnt sell soon i might just put it on there to see what i can get for it. once again thanks for the phone call, i really dont want to strip the boat down anymore than it is because as of now all it needs is an engine. i could start stripping out the v-drive, pedals, gas tanks, seats, engine plates, driveshaft, driveshaft tube, and throttle pedal but then that leaves a huge project for someone to finish.

Then this Hondo w/o motor might be the one for him! Help me, I just discovered how easy it is to search v-drive boats on Craig's list and it's addicting. 'So many boats, so little room/time/money...

I went and looked at the Hondo in Phoenix, it is not as nice as the pictures, need way more work than you can see. Gell is shot, rudder and stuffing box shot, lots of unpluged holes in the stringers. The only thing I saw worth having was the stack tank and the Polished Casale. I have pics of it if you would like them.

Do you still have the motor accessories??? Make it easy to drop in a motor and go, that would definatly help
lebel409
05-27-2008, 05:29 PM
Just a few words about the Lebel...since it's not common or well known.
Very well built, takes a set, was competitive with B boats in drags although the width of the boat at the drivers seat was an aerodynamic disadvantage.
Distinctive transom, very shallow V (just over an inch in 3 feet), 4 full length stringers of spruce.
He's selling this for the cost of 1/2 the hardware...and the boat is worth at least as much.
If I had the cash (or the space) I'd be all over it.
FWIW.

no sorry i dont, thats why i dropped the price to 1500.00 like i said i have alot of guys trying to get me to sell the v-drive out of the boat for like 900.00 but as it sits right now someone could get it going for not alot of coin, if i rip out the v-drive, the fuel tanks and other stuff i can get almost 1500.00 for everything but i dont want to pull everything out.

I'm just starting to poke around looking for a v-drive and probably going to sell my jet boat. I saw this on Lebel Craigslist a couple of days ago and I sent the ad to my email addy so when I was ready I could give you call and see if it was still available. We may be able to work something out. I'm new to v-drives and know little about them so I wouldn't want one that's missing a whole lot of parts, especially v-drive specific parts. However I won't need the seats, gas tanks, or a throttle pedal. Not trying to dismantle your boat but I can tell you if I get your boat it won't be dismantled and parted out, it would be getting wet again. Let me know how flexible you are on the sale. Thanks, Rod.

Did you get this sold? Sure does seem like a nice project to wind up parting out and throwing the hull away. It's really a shame it won't just fit in a big box, so you could mail it to me.

Unfortunately not, i really wont junk it. after i sell everything lebel409 will take the hull with all cavitatation hardware, maybe the up/down plate and driveshaft tube and driveshaft for a small price with no trailer because i cant and wont bring myself to chop this thing up and throw it in the dump. i will put it out in the street for free before i do that.:( i wish it would just fit in a box so i could ship it to ya. you know how things work out as soon as i am done with this whole escapade someone will call me and say "hey i have cash in hand and i wanna buy the boat" cause thats how it always happens.

I'm not ready to buy, I still need to sell my jet boat which I'm not ready to do. The 468 will be done in a week so I'm thinking that I might as well put it on the water. I'm in a "researching stage" on v-drives and stumbled on this site and thread.
A friend of mine has a very ugly flat bottom Sanger (paint), it's solid with a good floor and stringers, and he's offereing it to me on a trade for storing a boat on my property for a year. It would be complete minus engine, seats, and fuel tanks. I would get the Sanger when this season is over. ? .

well lets just say when i got it, the tach or any meter on the boat for that fact was not hooked up. the cable was tucked away under the bow. but brad said the square looking pin at the end of the cable was in good condition, so maybe the tach is messed up internally or maybe it works i dont know, i have never owned one.
