A few pictures from the busiest weekend of the year so far.

The water was awful and way too busy to open anything up.

I see Chad finally got his K going!. The narrow one is Bill's boat a friend of mine, I did part of the installation on it!. That boat was a challenge for Billy B, everyone said it was garbage and it should sent to the dump, well it's a brand new boat now, it has a PSI blower on it and it's badass, too bad it's not legal for a K!...

We had a good time out there even though that place was packed. It seemed like there would only be clean water for a few seconds. By the time you got in the boat and headed out the wake board boats and lake lice would come out of nowhere. I went out after being a tow-boat just in time to get swarmed by the masses. After realizing that I would not learn anything I decided to bring it back in. Lets just say I am looking forward to September.
Chads boat worked pretty well right off the trailer in spite of being a new and untested boat. The engine has room for tuning, but all in all it was a success. Bill's boat is awesome! I remember seeing Art's work on the site, but seeing it in person is the only way to do it justice. I have to say your work on that boat was great. If I called it any less I would be lying.

It's not surprising, D'Cucci's are a good boat!..

I remember posting some pics but they were just regular amature pics. So the answer is yes. The bitchin ones were Wannabe photos.

There are a handful of guys that have taken some great shots on this site. Kurt (Tankadriver) has taken some great shots as well as Louis (FLATMVN). I know others have posted great shots also. Buzzz and I always try to post pictures of stuff we go to so you can at least get to see a touch of the action without having to be there. We hope to bring home some great shots of the Lake Irvine gathering in June.

So the white boat is a D`cucci huh, there was a comp jet circle racer in the NW i think it was John Fox that showed up with one of those and literally blew everyone away at the time i thought that it was the most beautiful circle hull i had every seen, you guys have some awesome toys down there i am humbled.

The white one is a narrow Bisemeyer, the black one is a D'Cucci, note the white one don't have the T deck!... Back when circle jets were going strong, Rodgers and Bahners were the boats to have, then Don decided to build one to sell as a ski boat in a jet and whacker, then Don Moyle(Mink farmer)decided he wanted to try one in Comp Jet and ended up setting a record with it, and I do believe it still holds that record, then it kinda faded away. Now there's an attempt to bring the class back!..

Not that i would know the difference anyway just loved the look of that boat, most of the racers had earlier hulls so that one D`cucci stood out and sure did fly! he did okay on the corners but when he hit the straights it was bye bye in a big way on the outside lane fun to watch, used to be a pretty big class in the 80`s and 90`s and always a good show
Looks like it was a fun time, to bad the water wasn't more accomidating to the flat bottoms,Nice Pics....

The weather was not tragic, it was just the masses of inconsiderate boaters that made things a little tough. It was the old double standard "I can cut you off and Harass you, but don't you dare come close to me". I could not figure it out, there would be no boats and nice water and as soon as we would fire up to go play everybody on the lake wanted a front row seat (which is not a bad thing). They just decided that they wanted to watch while driving their boat right in your path. Then you turn around and there are lake lice everywhere coming at you. We did have a good time though.

Last time we were up the river I mentioned to the crowd that you guys called the jet-skiers "lake lice".... everyone thought it very funny AND appropriate.

That was the first time I even dared to take a boat to the lake on a weekend. I usually don't feel good and end up seeking treatment at the lake mid week.;):D
