I have a 2002 Wakeboard boat, Ski Centurion witha 350 chevy motor...I am looking to tune it up and trying to get hints and or help on doing my own tune-ups and what is best recommended to be done.....I was starting with how to change the Impeller and where it is located on the boat?
Thanks alot,
Tobin

Where the impeller is depends upon what sort of water pump you are running. Id suggest that you more than likely have a v-belt driven water pump so it should be pretty easy to spot....just look for something that isnt an alternator on the front of the motor... ie towards the back of the boat..lol
Having said that, does your pump impeller NEED changing? Most of us get a LOT of boat time in between impeller changes, unless the motor has been run dry for an extended period or its been laid up for years.

Hi is your centurian equipped with a PCM or Indmar?
Indmars raw water pumps are mounted on the crankshaft pully flange direct to the crank. simple removal of four plate screws on the front of the housing, then pry out old impeller and lube new with WD-40 and install.
the older PCM motors have a block mounted pump that is belt drivin, remove belt pull hoses of of either end of pump remove pump from mounting brackets, put up on bench and dissasemble pump pry out old impeller. reverse the dissambly. The Indmar should take 10 min the Pcm 30 min. Impellers and pump parts can be obtained thru DIM, Discount Inboard Marine.
Good luck
