Thoughts on Royal Purple 20W-50?
I have been using 15-40 Mobil 1, but can get some RP for about the same cost.
Ideas?
Thanks
John B.

As long as it's a racing oil yes, because it has the Zinc!..

RiverRacer, Are you refering to to the old Kendall oil?

I have used RP and Mobile 1 and both work good. I recently used the Mobile one since it was cheaper. I'll run it in my boat.

I believe Art is talking about Kendall,i used to run a jet boat years ago (86-92) ran three different motors the last one i spun to 7 grand often, when i first put it together i was running Castrol (20-50) racing oil and found the pressure at the start of the day was right where it should be but at the end of a hard running day i was down 5-15 pounds (hot oil) i understand the concept, someone recommended i switch to Kendall based on how hard i was running so i switched to Kendall straight 50wt no loss in oil pressure after that,i`m intrigued by the Royal Purple

I got 3 cases of the Brad Penn, probably going to stock up on more as time goes by.

Just curious what you give for a case?, it cost me $58 for one seemed reasonable to me!..
