River Time??

Here we are now in the middle of March with the Summer quickly approaching! I'm hoping to get the Wickens (RatSass)back together by then and it's been awhile since I've stayed on the river. (Colorado) Growing up we stayed at Riverland mostly or at Echo Lodge and every now and then Castle Rock.

I'm just wondering where's a good place to stay these days and how's the water levels? any sand bars to worry about on the Parker Stip?

Echo and "Red Rock" are my favorite spots to stay. I havent been to "Red Rock" in 2 years cause it was run down but it has changed hands again and names too, its now, "Shipwrecked at the Sandbar at Red Rock" or something to that affect. I checked things out the end of last year and the place was inproving and Im excited to have 2 trips planed there this year so far. Let us know when your heading out!

I haven't been there since Don sold the place, but I hear the latest owners really cleaned it up, and the bathrooms are actually usable!.. Echo is a cool place too!..

Yeah they were almost done in Oct and the girl on the phone said they were finished soo..... Iv got the 2 spots next to Fox's for Mothers Day weekend, Ill report back to you all! :D :D

Hey, did they extend the wall out?, I never liked that spot because of all the traffic going back and forth to Fox's, especially with all the drunks at 3 in the morning, lol..:D

I don't believe so? I always go off season so traffic won't bother me, I'll probably part of it!!! I have always liked those spots though cause there is no sea wall there to swamp your boat all day and there is a nice beach area.

Yeah that is the best part of that spot, I guess off season is good but I've seen people's stuff get trashed in the summer on weekends in those spots!..
