Looking at my prop and I am a little concerned about running it the way it is.

It is a 3 blade 1 inch shaft 11x? (Can't read the stamp)
It is thin, chewed and the texture on the outside looks like weathered hammered bronze.

I don't want to spend a ton of money on a new prop, ( Don't know where this one runs RPM to speed wise, towing skiers/tubes,etc)

Can this be saved(I'll take some pics, but it is bad)

Can I get a larger prop and have it cut down to fit ( 11 inch 3 blades are hard to find reasonable, 13 and 14 inch i see all the time)

The red line for ANY bronze prop is 4000 rpm, if you just water skiing, and you don't rev past 4000 you will be fine, you should be able to have you prop repaired, by any decent prop shop. If you turn you engine mort then 4000 rpm, take the bronze prop off your boat and don't ever put it back on! Save you money and get a steel propeller!
Bronze props will throw a blade with out warning at higher rpms. I HAVE SEEN THIS HAPPEN! if the blade goes down you will only have to replace the strut, rudder, and propshaft. If the blade goes up the hull will have a BIG hole in it, and you'll be replacing the above parts, if you live thru it.

What he said, I had an experience with a bronze prop on my first boat(didn't know $hit then, not that I know much now)but I was VERY fortunate that nothing happened, after running the crap out of it(only went 5500)and it was time to leave I pulled the prop off as usual and set it down on the tailgate, my buddy says gee that prop looks funny so I look at it and to my surprise, one of the blades had start to flatten out and there was a very slight crack by the hub, one more stab of the throttle and everything would have went fubar!.. That was a cheap lesson on the difference between a bronze and steel prop!...

I'm going to be out in the garage today and have inherited some 13's Nibral and Stainless 3 blade of the 1" taper variety. I believe 2 of which have been reworked down to around 12" dia. Anyway, I will look and PM you this afternoon and if I can figure it out pictures. If you are interested I can send stuff down to you and if it does what you need then we can work out some kind of smokin' deal for you.

I have a 11.25 X 15 3 blade stainless prop that is nearly new. I bought it from Ron Hill a couple of years ago and never really used it. I tried it a coupe of times and decided it needed some cup on the blades but never followed up on it. If interested let me know.
