Appears that being a seasonal v-driveboat.com user I missed the website failure. Not to fear I am still the owner of one of the ugliest, yet most fun Hondo Flatbottom boats around.
I just sent my prop up to Mr. Tom Bentley to fix my novice mistake and am looking forward to my second trip out with the boat May 9-11 on the Colorado river. We have a place in the Willow Valley community in Mohave Valley, AZ and will be out there for a few days. If anyone is in the area between needles and laughlin and wants to hook up I'm game. No pretty boats though, mine will be jealous.
Glad to see all the familiar faces again. I wish you all a few more MPH and lower racing fuel prices :)
heres a few pics of my beasty..
P.S. The house in willow valley is for sale if anybody looking, small 800 Sq Ft

Good to see you back. I love boats like that. You don't feel bad about hammering on them all day long, and the best part is they take it.

Yeah! I was on vacation for a week, I wasn't going to look at it sitting on the trailer the rest of the trip. So we fixed it there, ready to rock in 2 weeks :D :D :D

Question regarding sending your prop to Tom Bentley? Did he tell you a price and are you to send him a check along with your prop? I'm supposed to send him my prop too but I don't recall if he said to send him a check or he'll send me a bill.
Thanks.

I would assume that each job would vary in price and without seeing the prop first there would be no way to estimate it. I would be sure to include on your note to call with an estimate before starting work if your unsure of what your looking at. He called me 2 days after it arrived at his place. Tom is very friendly and asked a lot of questions to make sure he did the best job he could for me. He also answered my many questions too, which I thought was very cool.
My prop is a Precision 1810 11 1/2 x 16 which he said should work good for me. I believe my prop wasnt in need of a great deal of work, but since I do not know what is exactly required to repair a prop, my believe could be way off the mark. I got out the door with a bill of $152 which also included new strut bushings and I paid with my debit card. I had anticipated more for the repair just because I know props are not cheap, so to me I was and am happy. I can report more after it returns.

Hey Jeff,
Kinda off subject but, if you ever have any thoughts about swaping out your wheels for something different, PLEASE let me know. I'd buy your slot mags in a heart beat :D :D
