Unless something weird, wild and wacky happens, I will be headed over to the L.A. area to move my sister this weekend. As will Paul, the Doctor, etc. So the one weekend the LA guys head here, we head over there. Go figure.

Hey, how about you move my sister and we will be at the races?
Any takers??:D

It will be a bummer that we won't be there but I am sure it will still be a blast. For those who are going make sure to stop by and say hi to Mike (PE 316) as he is a great guy. He is truly one of the guys that makes boat racing so great.

Ah yes! The great game of hurry up and wait!!! When you have something to work on when all the slower boats are running its not too bad.

Buzzz & Paul,

It was good to see you guys as usual. I'm sorry I was so busy and not able to take the time I had intended to visit with you both. Hopefully you aren't too sore from helping your sister move this weekend.

Mike, as always it was great to see you. We are going to see about getting some pictures up in the next few days. (We are out of town tomorrow so you will have to wait a little longer).

Just to let everyone know, we were planning on driving to CA early Friday morning but got a call that they would not be ready for us, so we went to the races Friday morning and left at about 2 pm to go to CA. We were just happy to go to the races and enjoy the fun for a day. We also met Steve (old flat) and his great family. It is people like Steve and Mike that make this sport so great.

Paul,
How was your trip to Fireturd? Hope you got to meet some of the
inboard hydro guys. Did you get a chance to talk to Hootie Wolfe?
He will have the top boats in both classes by mid-summer.
I spent the weekend in western Ohio at the boat shop checking out every
thing on Can't Wait. I blew all the calendars and picture off the walls when
I started it up. We have a APBA testing session in Dayton on the 10th and
11th of May. two days shared by about 40 boats. I 1/4 mile course and
safety crews on site. This lake was the site of many National championship
races from the 60s through the 90s.
We also got the Mandella ready for the engine. It should come off the dyno
next week. We'll be ready for Spring soon.

Sounds like you are getting things together for another year of fun. We only had a few hours to poke around at the races so we did not get to talk to Hootie.

WARPT,

It was Mike Schiller "Centle$$" vs. Tim Kelley "Alter Ego" in the FINALS.
Allen RED-LIGHTED the win in the semis to a poor running Tim Kelley. BOTH Kelley's AND Schiller's boats were wounded entering the finals. Schiller took the win despite a .662 r/t and a 8.80 e.t. over Kelley's .711 r/t and a 9.54 e.t.

Oh well, that's why we have to race'em and not just compare e.t.'s on paper.

See you guys in Red Bluff!!

Mike
