Woke up this morning to find about an inch of snow on the ground.... It's late April????? It has happened before in May, but that's been over 10-20 years ago....
Good snowpack this year, so will have full rivers and lakes ALL SUMMER!!!! Now if we can just get a spring here in So. Oregon ??? :)

Beautiful day here in Orillia, but still have a little snow in the bushes. If we get more snow it is my fault, I put the snow blower away today after grease, oil and filling up the tank.(I fill up the tank so when the first snow fall comes I know it will be ready to go, rather than have to dig out the truck to get to the gas station, been there, done that)

Saw that on the news, looks like a nasty system is working it's way east from the north, been giving us some breezy conditions!..

Between Friday and Saturday we got about 7+ in. of snow around here. Last Saturday I was skiing with a wetsuit in 80 degree weather. This weekend it never got above 45. People talk about global warming. I am looking forward to the average being about 5 degrees warmer, instead of 15 degrees below normal. Well we had our summer in western Washington and it came on Saturday April 12th this year.

SPUN 1, What a small world me and my wife grew up in Morgan Hill. On the shore of lake Anderson. My friend and I held the youth record for biggest large mouth bass in Anderson when I was in middle school. I have thought about going back with my hallett for a weekend visit, but my cousin said there strict about the noise now. That town sure has changed a lot in just ten years.

Poncho, it is a small world, I teach at Kamiak High School in Mukilteo. It has been here for about 14 years, don't know when you graduated. I live on the hill by the Mukilteo ferry. I look at the water everyday while eating breakfast or working in the shop and a 24ft. Schiada v-drive is starting to look good. I could shoot up to the San Juans in about 45 minutes.

Hi shop teacher, graduated in 82 was a great time to live in that area the mall had just opened and gave a great place to gather and hang this when the lynnwood and Edmond's PD had a real small presence so bunch of high school kids were no big deal pour it out no tickets type stuff, used to go to alot of gatherings at picnic point, point no point etc. What a playground for a teen, that road from 99 to the ferry was used to find out top speed numbers usually in a 3 ton 60`s big block barge with no steering or brakes cant believe i lived to tell

67hallett,
I graduated @ Live Oak High in 1984.
My First boat ride was at at Anderson Lake, usually camped at Coyote with my family. I have only been back a few times.
I departed in 1980 for a year to Boise, ID to live with my dad. I was a trouble maker, but i is good now. He worked at Hewlett Packard and i had brief schooling at Lowell Scott Jr High.

What do you take on Flathead lake? I liked in Big Fork for a while and never saw it calm enough to put a flat on. (Then again I was a missionary there and was not allowed to ski anyway so I just kept telling myself that it was to rough).:p What side of the lake do you stay on?

Paul,
While you are at Fireturd this weekend taking pictures please
look up a guy from Illinois. He is Marty Wolfe aka Hootie. He
will be running an Unlimited Light hydroplane. He is the top big
block engine builder in the Midwest. His engines powered all of
best GNH hydros for the past several years. He also ran a 427
small block and beat most of the big block boats until the
competition changed the rules and only allowed big blocks last
season. He is running both UL and GNH boats this year.
Like you guys, he knows engines. He has our GNH engine in
his shop waiting on Kevin to send $$$$$$.
Take some great pictures and post them for all of us that
can't be there.
Thanks,
Rob

Have property at Foys lake which is only about 7 or 8 miles from Flathead (2 miles from downtown Kalispell).
Haven't had a Flat out on the Flathead yet. Hope too this summer. We usually go and hang out around Lakeside. Great 4th of July show there!
lot's of lakes in the area for Skiing and Boating.

I know Foys lake. That is a neat place. I would love to do some skiing on it as it is small enough and protected so it should stay calm. You are also right about the 4th of July deal at Lakeside, it looks cool across the water from Bigfork.

Rob, it is looking like we are not going to be at Fireturd this weekend. Buzzz and I are going to LA to move my sister so we are missing out on all the fun. There will always be more races, but family is first around here. I am sure you guys will understand why we won't be able to post up pictures.
