You mean between the shaft log and hull, or through bolts, or through seal?

i think between shaft log and hull.

i think between shaft log and hull.
You think??, where is the water actually coming from??, do you have thru hull bolts or are they screwed into the hull??, if you have thru hull bolts check for leaks around the bolts, if water is seeping around the edge of the log then you need to reseal the log no biggie!..
I do have thru hull bolts and the water is seeping around the plate edges were it attaches to hull............what are the procedures for resealing the shaft log plate, what all has to come apart etc and what do you seal it with 3m 4200 or do i need to order special gaskets etc.......I appreciate as much information on this someone can give me on the procedure to fix this.
Thanking you in advance

Ok, sounds like the log itself is leaking that means it needs to come off and be resealed, first slide the prop shaft off then undo the bolts and remove the shaft log!. There are no gaskets for that since the floors are not perfectly flat, but you need to have a flat surface for it to seal, so after you remove the log clean up the floor and log, get some Marine-Tex(it's a two part epoxy)tape off the immediate area around the log, set the log down flat and wipe off excess and pull the tape and let the Marine-Tex cure, done deal!...
Sounds simple enough, so you are saying just release the prop shaft enough to be able to pull it back far enough to remove it from the shaft log, and to use a 2 part epoxy and not a marine adhesive sealant like gm 4200 or something. what seals the bolt holes? sorry for all the questions only want to do this once.......
Thanks

Pull the shaft out because if you happen to lay too much stuff down you'll need to wipe off the residue from the bottom!. I use Permatex #2 sealer on the bolts afterwards!.
I really appreciate you help, i guess i will tear into this in the next day or 2.
Thanks again.
