I am looking for anyone that has any documentation (I.E., articles, history or photos) regarding KONA boats that were manufactured in Calif. in the early 70's. I posted this request on the Scream and Fly forum also, and PONCHO suggested that I might be able to find someone on your site that may be helpful. He said to be nice, since you guys are all V-Drives and I am looking for the history of my 18ft KONA MAKAI JET! This was my first boat which I bought new in 73' in Riverside Calif. and I had many, many hours of fun with this little beauty. Unfortunately, in 76', I had to part ways in favor of furniture and appliances for my first home. I still regret it to this day! Since moving to Western Ky., I have gotten back into boating purchasing a Stingray bowrider last year and I really LOVE it! But alas, there will never be anything like racing flat out at Parker, Havasu or wherever as I did back in the day! Not a V-drive, but fast and beautiful! You all know what I mean! Any help with my request would be greatly appreciated and, THANKS AGAIN PONCHO!!!!...........Alan (BIG AL) Riegler, Mayfield, KY.

Alan,

There are a couple of Jet specific forums.

I know Performance Boats has a jet section
Performance Boats (http://www.performanceboats.com/html/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=33)
and another
SoCal Jet Boats (http://www.socaljetboats.com/)

They will give you the scoop on "suck boats" :D :D
