View Full Version : What is in the insider??
Can someone explain to me about the insider and the kind of info and data you gain access too, is there a trial period for any amount of time??
The Insider subscription is designed to be like a magazine, with access to posting classified ads as a side benefit.
We're always thrilled to have people subscribe, but make sure your expectations are realistic. Because v-drive is such a narrow topic, possibilities for articles are somewhat limited. Also, because many of the organized events around our "headquarters" in Lake Havasu City, AZ, have died down, we haven't had many events to cover lately. Finally, because of our data loss a few weeks ago, we are still in the process of rebuilding what we already had, and it may take a while for us to get back to normal.
That said, for right now, your $15.00 will get you a year's access to post classifieds, see our current articles, and read any new articles we post in the next year.
You can see what tech articles we currently offer by clicking here (http://www.v-driveboat.com/vweb/index.php?pageid=insider) or clicking the red Insider link on the home page.

Lets not forget that for the $15.00 a year even with out being able to post in the Classifieds and reading articals, if it was only a donation to help with the managing and upkeep on this site so that it continues to provide a great placed for all of us to share our knowledge and experiences, I say it is well worth the price.

I second that. Small price to pay for what we get from this site...

This place has saved me way more than my yearly dues over the years.
Or maybe it's COST me way more than the dues, depends on how you look at it.:D

Funny thing.... the guys who least need info and guidance found in "insider" articles seem to be the guys who most faithfully support this website with an annual insider membership. It's no secret that info and photo sharing are the most valuable features offered here... FOR FREE!
Were it not for the forty-or-so guys that voted their enthusiasm for this site with their $15 membership, I might not have had a reason, or the funds to equip and rebuild this place from scratch! I simply did not want to let the stakeholders or any of the rest of you guys down!
So to answer "whats in there?" I'm going to hafta be honest and say "not nearly what there was!" (yet!)
We fully intended to put the insider section back together slowly and restart those subscriptions when we had some content and were only taking requests for re-instatement with the understanding that, other than classified posting, nothing was there.
Then a strange thing happened.....People started subscribing anyway!
Nick immediately re-constructed our two interactive calculators (worth the $15, alone!)
I'll have furniture, wiring, and transmission articles back up eventually. My stuff is mostly basic and intended for new enthusiasts.
