Hey guys, it would be cool if you sign up under a new screen name that you let everyone know who you were on the other site, that way we still know who we are talking to, know what I mean!..:D:D

Hey guys, I am FC-Pilot. I am FC-Pilot from the last v-driveboat.com. I am also FC-Pilot from Dragboatalley.com as well as FC-pilot on Dragboatracing.com. And if all else fails I am FC-Pilot from the old HB as well as the current PB.
I know, it is tough to keep up with.

FC-Pilot
03-15-2008, 05:54 PM
Chris, anyone who knows me knows that I am not first class. LOL:p Actually, our family runs a Funny Car and on occasions I drive (which is where the pilot part comes in). If I am not driving then one of my brothers (who happens to be Wannabe on this site) is driving. We build and maintain the cars ourselves, which is where the whole family comes in. When we are at the track everybody has a responsibility (even mom). It sure does make it fun when the whole family is involved.

03-15-2008, 08:18 PM
Hi my name is FC-Pilot.
Er wait- no it is not.
My name is Buzzz. I am wannabe or wannaberacing pretty much everywhere on the net. In fact, I actually own the copyrighted trade name with the United States government for the names "Wannabe" "Wannabe Racing" and "Wannaberacing". So if you see it, it is either me, or a copyright infringement.

It certainly looks that way. Memberships are paid, air system arrives next week. Fuel injection waiting to be picked up. To say the least I am very excited and happy about this. Can Am/PS 95 is the number. Passed my dunk test a few weeks ago. I am ordering my new capsule jacket from SRP this week, and helmet. SO I guess it is as defintie as it can be.

I feel like the lost family pet. I went out to "roll on the back lawn", and meanwhile, the family packed up and moved away! "One day I was on V-drive boats, and the next day it was gone!" I didn't waste the time while gone, I did a little "3 phase electrical" in my garage. The Easter Bunny brought me a Bridgeport and it's operational. The lathe should be here in the next few weeks. I've got a guy who wants Cavitation parts (11/2" cross shaft, 1" turnbuckles, 2 bolt angled pads) and when his deposit comes, I'll be "back to work". ART! I used a 5HP motor with the Phase A Matic and the mill draws 2.2 AMPS when running, no load (2.6 to start). At my power meter, the wheel spun really fast with just the "phase box", but it hardly turns with the "motor and box". 95% motor power and 50% less current use. Try to find a 1750/3500 RPM 3 phase motor (used) and I will help you hook it up in your new house. "See Don, moving the entire web site didn't get rid of me!" HA HA HA!

You guys better come out here before October! Do you know about Don's "Dually Crew" web site? Lost? I've been livin' life! The last 3 months have been a F'in mess. First, the flu with fluid in the lungs, then Hot Boat goes down (HA HA), then I run out of heart medication (drugs by mail hang up) then 4 cop boats go down (electronics probs) all in the same day. Next I've got V-drive boats trying to "loose me", then the car licenses are due and just the 3 yr old Cad is $600.00 for one year. ALL of the property taxes are due, house and home insurance too. Then Kathy now needs removal of 2 "basal sell carcinomas" (sp?) (skin cancer). Last weeks MRI shows my right foot needs a third operation, because the problem bone/growth is getting bigger,(again) and I have the flu again. On the other side, V-drive is up again, we have insurance and WE will only pay 25% of operations, finally got my meds, flu is leaving due to strong anti-biotics use, and vapor therapy. Doc says Kathy will be OK, Captain Morgan is 'helping my foot' and I got my mill up and running. "note to self, don't get old". "Life at the river is just like life anywhere else, just at a much lower pay scale". Ryan, drag the old man and yourself out here soon! "The water is cool, but the bikini's are HOT!"

You don't have to twist my arm!!! Dad doesn't like going for just a weekend, he says "its too much work" lol That never use to stop him. I may be there some time in April and for sure for Mothers Day weekend, Mom is going so Dad won't be for obvious reasons. Sorry to hear about all the BS lately, it does seem to be going around though. I had to move, Grandma now lives in Phoenix and her house is being sold as we speak. The weather is getting warmer though and that means its time to be boating again and that's always something to look forward to :D :D :D

OK, I'll chime in against all your better judgments. I'm The Doctor and I definitely don't WANNABE an FC-PILOT under any circumstances. I've seen what those two have to do to keep a Funny Car in their lanes under power and "No Thank You!" Yes, it's true, I'm a wimp but I have people to cover that (shhhh three sons) and no, I'm not a doctor but I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express once and I'm considering playing one on TV should they ever ask. We're down to just five boats and, if the stars all align soon, we'll actually have some ready to float amid way too many other projects.

The early Jones ones were mounted in the center, which I originally liked. But thinking it would be different to drive. The cell doesn't add that much weight to the boat and the set-up doesnt change that much. I dont know the weight off hand. But I do know what the boat weighed before, but thats a secret that I am not allowed to divulge. This a cell from Bert Henderson of Henderson Hydroplanes. The one thing that I liked about the Jones deal was the fact that you sat very low. But I am almost down as low.Does anyone know what type of cell Duff has in his present K. I know the one that was put in the boat that is now k-711 was done by Jamie Auld. Jamie was originally talking about putting it in front of the gear box, as the new mold that he built for that cell was built to fit between my stringers of my boat. I think that Duff talked him into putting it on the left. I think that a center mounted cell really would change the balance point of the boat. Correct me if I am wrong.
Brian

03-28-2008, 05:15 AM
Well, I was wondering how heavy it is, I know one that the capsule weighs 250 and they have a lot of problems with it(can't imagine why), I'm not for the capsule thing but I think I'd want it in the center just to balance it out, regardless of what it weighs it's still off balance, that means you have to add weight to the right side to equal it and it just adds more weight to the boat!.. Just my worthless .02!..
BTW, what's up with the blue and black one???..
shooter2
03-28-2008, 05:32 AM
I know that these cells are not 250lbs and the only extra equipment that we need to carry is the air bottle. My boat is just sitting in storage, dry, safe, but dusty and out of the weather. The part of the deal that I like with doing this with Mel is I have someone that I can talk to and make this boat work. His hardware is excellent. If the boat is built light enough and you need to add weight to it to make it a legal ss, then you can move the weight around to what best suits you. All theory. I' know that alot of guys don't like cells, but I certainly liked it after I tested that yellow boat.
