nice pictures!! we're buying a house in sebastian, fl. soon. i'd like to go to a nostalgia event! i'm 54, so i'm 'kinda nostalgic', haha! hey, put some more pics up, never get tired of em'!!
Hey I'm 77 still active we have 4 events here in in Fla, brings out 50 or so Vintage & Historical. Actually the Sleeper is the oldest and Historical active F Service boat in the APBA V&H events. I drove and with the owner made all the changes to the hull. The boat ran F- Service class 1956 - 1966.
In 1961 Broke a marathon race around Grand Island N.Y 29 miles averaged 73 MPH. The boat sat upside down for 38 years and was purchased by Thomas Frauenheim boat sales and restoration, I was asked to drive the boat in the Buffalo Launch club centennial and after two years I bought the boat back. Now resides in my garage so I can work on it seems like every day. Boat i now powered by a 466 Ford and still runs 65 -70 on gas depending on wich prop I use. Oh, It also has Nitrous and can add a few more MPH. when applied.
Hi Bill,

Happy Holiday's.

I understand in Orillia, Canada. The boat was kept in the owners showroom since 1973 - 2004-5. I wanted to buy it back however it was gone. Still has one of the orignal motors I built for it. It was a wonderful boat as only Len Schiada built, a great friend and person as well as a boat builder, even today Lee Spindler has kept the boats a pristen boat to own.
